Glyceride monosearate (monoglyceride, GMS) is a white waxy flake or beadle solid, insoluble in water, and can be dispersed in water after strong oscillation with hot water. It is an oil-in-water emulsifier. Soluble in hot organic solvents ethanol, benzene, acetone, mineral oil and fixed oil. The freezing point shall not be less than 54℃.
Application and advantages of monoglyceride in plastic industry:
1. Antistatic: fast migration in the plastic resin, effective time, can reduce the surface resistance to reduce the formation and accumulation of static electricity, so it has a fast and long-term antistatic reduce dust adsorption function, as an antistatic agent in plastic, dustproof agent.
2. Excellent surface activity: in plastic resin to make the surface of the film easy to wet, keep transparent, air condensation water can flow down the film, so it has good sealing and printing, keep transparent and transparent, can be used as a long-term anti-fogging agent anti-trickle agent.
3. Good grease property: compatible with resin molecules, reduce intermolecular friction, reduce melt viscosity, can shorten the production cycle, high yield, as internal and external lubricant, release agent.
4. Excellent emulsification: together with foaming agent, it can make the bubble body structure uniform and delicate, reduce bubble shrinkage, especially in winter when the temperature is low, it has strong anti-shrinkage ability, so that the product is bright and clean and smooth, and it can save raw materials. It can be used as foaming agent and anti-shrinkage agent.
5. Resin compatibility, can penetrate into the resin molecules, increase flexibility, can improve melting and injection mold, so can be used as plasticizer, modifier.
6. It is made of natural vegetable oil, odorless and tasteless. It is produced as a food additive, so it is safe and non-toxic and can be added to food packaging plastics.
