High fructose corn syrup(HFCS) (Cas No.:57-48-7), also known as glucose-fructose, isoglucose, and glucose-fructose syrup, is a sweet, nutrient-rich sugar mixture made from corn. It is an isomerized corn syrup, which is derived from the isomerization of glucose in syrup to fructose by enzyme isomerase. There are many concentrations of HFCS, and the most common HFCS used in food and beverage production contains 42% and 55% fructose.

It is a complete substitute for sucrose and can be widely used in the food and beverage industry, especially the beverage industry. It tastes better than sucrose. It is a colorless or yellowish transparent and viscous liquid with a sweet taste and no peculiar smell.
