Crystalline sorbitol is white hygroscopic crystalline powder or particles, the relative density is about 1.49, easy dissolved in water (1g dissolved in about 0.45ml water), slightly soluble in ethanol. Liquid sorbitol (or sorbitol liquid) is a hexyl alcohol, 70% liquid sorbitol is viscous transparent liquid, optical activity, slightly sweet with hygroscopicity. Molecular formula: C6H14O6, molecular weight: 182.17, CAS No.: 50-70-4, the melting point is 85-105℃,the boiling point is 295℃.

Application:

1. Used as a food moisturizer, a flavoring agent, an antioxidant, a cosmetic raw material, a cigarette, a toothpaste moisturizer, a vitamin C, an adhesive raw material, and a diuretic and choleretic drug.

2. The pharmaceutical grade for the preparation of injection, large infusion and oral granules, food-grade for chewing gum, sugar-free candy, etc.

3. Used as a biochemical reagent, thickener, and hardener, also used in resin and plastic synthesis

4. Biochemical research, acid-base titration of boric acid, preparation of sorbose, and vitamin C.

5. It is a special sweetener with a moisturizing function. It is not converted into glucose in the human body and is not controlled by insulin. It is suitable for diabetics.

6. Sweeteners; moisturizers (mainly used for patients with diabetes, liver disease, cholecystitis, etc.); chelating agents; tissue improvers (such as making cake tissue fine, preventing starch aging); synthetic raw materials for vitamin C; glycerol substitutes. The beverage has the effect of masking the bitterness of the sodium saccharin and making the sweetness taste thick. EEC is used for chocolate, candy, ice cream, food coloring thinner; curative jam; cake pre-powder; paste, and so on.
